I have been sitting here looking in the archives...thought I would show a couple or three from this date. Again, they may have been posted before.
They were taken north of here, and there is about a 20 minute timespan between the time I took the shot of the buzzard and the time of the photos of this field.
You can tell by the long shadows that it is evening time. I know these are weeds...henbit, I believe...but it sure is pretty when seen like this.

i love that field of flowers and i am thinking this buzzard is pleased that you showed his majestic side.. they are so ugly on the ground and beautiful in flight
Look at that wingspan! What I wouldn't give to fly...I mean, without a ticket, tiny seat, and premptive groping by the TSA.
I like the close up of the bird's stretched wings. The weed's colored look is very attractive.

I have not heard of henbit. It does look like a carpet and quite nice!
