I went back in time to find this barn...it is not too terrible far from here...if it is still standing. I should make a detour and see if it is still there.
I love the warm, evening light....
It is so sad to see these old beauties fall apart.
I wonder what was behind this door when in use.
I think this barn was on the same farm, but I am not positive. I have been looking at google maps of the area and I cannot spot either barn.
I will be linking to The Barn Collective....
One last view....

These photos are gorgeous! The first and fifth look like postcards, or in a magazine. I love the green roof! And that golden silo shining in the sun! Someone spent a lot of time and money to make this so colorful and beautiful, and now it is done for. Sad.
If only those old barns could talk. Great shots Rose :)
Oh my! What a sad sad barn. It almost upsets me but they do have their own decrepit beauty.
You have to go back and see if anything is still standing.

Awesome pictures, Rose.
I can see the warm evening light shining on the barn. These barns must have been beautiful when they were newly built. Have a blessed weekend!
this old barn is a work of art to me. I really love all the photos, but 3 and 4, the close up of the damage time has made, speaks to my heart
...we best enjoy this one while we can! On old farms I still see these old glazed silos, for me they always have a special look to them. Thanks so much for stopping by, Rose. I hope to see more barns from your next of the woods.
These are fine barn pictures. I hope some of them have survived to today. Nice post.
Doesn't look like it will be standing for long if it still is!
Great old barns!
Wonderful light in all the photos
Have a beautiful day!
I love these old barns too and taking photos of them is a good way to preserve their memory! Enjoy your day! Hugs!
My home farm place had a barn built this same way. It had poles for the support system and the next owners let the roof do the same thing. It caved in and is now a pile of wood and debris. I liked seeing your various shots of it. We stored hay in the middle and animals were kept on each side of it. Milk cows were on the one side and hay could be dropped down into the side areas.
The light on these pictures makes them extra special.
Oh yes, you should definitely take the detour and show us now this poor old thing is faring!
i love a green and read old-ing barn ... so great for pics!! love it! <3
Fabulous barns - love the light in the photos. Such sadness to see the old barns depart. I always think of the sounds, smells and sights that are associated with the life of the barn.
Wonderful photos!!
Beautiful light. You captured these barns very nicely.
