We were leaving the other morn, and there is a stop sign 12 blocks down...I was just glancing to the east before I got to the top of the hill, and I saw something out of the corner of my eye. Thinking first it was a dead limb out of a tree...by then I was stopped at the stop sign. And I thought wait a minute...there's no tree. I looked in my rear-view mirror to make sure no one was behind me before I backed up.
I said to Roger, Look! I was looking right into the sun and was hard for me to see...I grabbed my camera and grabbed a quick couple of shots;
The shots are not too terrible considering they were shot looking towards the sun. Remember to click and expand the view.
There was no one around, but we think the door was open and we figured the owners were inside watching it enjoying the sun.

Quite an unusual find on the street in the neighborhood! Great shots! It reminds me of the alligator found in Chicago two or three weeks ago.
What a magnificent creature. He looks so proud sitting there. In Miami where my son lives, there are iguanas everywhere. I am fascinated by them but down there they are considered pests.

Thee iguanas were a common sight in southern Florida. I think they are cool looking, I wouldn't want one for a pet. Wishing you a happy day and weekend ahead!
Splendid looking animal and not one I'm likely to encounter around here; my neighbour has a couple of cats but that's about it.

I have always loved reptiles...but not snakes. I can't imagine anyone letting this guy out for a bit of sun and not staying near by. My grandson had a bearded dragon. His cage was the size of two doors put together in an L shape which was the back of the cages. We had him for a loooong time.

I would have taken a second look too. Wow … not something one sees every day in my neck of the woods, unless you're an iguana owner. It looks like it was enjoying a spot of sunshine that day!

Rose, that was the sweetest story about Lorelei and Kindergarten. I know Jess will appreciate hearing it so much, as she teaches Elementary kids, and school will be starting up again here soon. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story.
