Eastern Kingbird revisited...

I posted one pic from this section a few days ago.  Thought I would show some of the others here.  They usually do no cooperate...

I have always been lucky to get one shot...

Let alone one to sit and shake it off and scratch an itch...

and then settle back down.

I know its tail is cut off in a couple shots but I am still happy to have caught the gleam in its eyes.

Good capture. We have Western Kingbirds in Eastern Wa. The are so pretty---similar to the Eastern but with a soft yellow tummy.

I actually like the last picture the best. I would never be able to take pictures like that. :)

A bit of a tail cut off doesn't take away from how fantastic these are. I'm never able to zoom in far enough to get very good pictures of birds.

Excellent shots. I agree that these birds usually don’t wait to have their picture taken. In case my comment shows up twice, it's because i wasn’t sure the first one went through.

I think I have seen these birds competing with the bluebirds for a spot in our water-filled rocks. You got some excellent pictures.

What a precious bird. I always love your bird photos, Rose. And that one of him bending his head is so funny. I think he was scratching himself hahaha.
