Rooster plate...

At one time in my life, I would have had to come home with at least one of these.  And it was still tempting but since I am trying to get rid of the clutter, I only took a picture.

Hurray for pictures!

The plate has such a nice old vintage look. I have made a pledge to myself not to bring in more. I must learn to take more pictures.

It is a beautiful rooster plate. It must be hard to resist buying that plate.

I'd have been tempted too; I have a bit of a thing about roosters and hens - symbols of my childhood I suppose.

I understand the need to declutter, but I also understand the temptation.

Your collection fetish...roosters? I like the colors on this one...very unique.

What a sweet plate. Love the bright cheery colors. I remember a cabinet in my grandmothers living room that was filled with all kinds of roosters.

my friends daughter would want this plate, her kitchen is full of roosters... my mother would want it and the basket it is in

Very pretty but very smart to take a photo and leave it behind.

A colorful find that reminds me of my grandmother's stoneware!

It is beautiful. I probably at one time would have bought it too! I too, am trying to get rid of so much stuff. I love going into antique and junk stores and I would always leave with something but now I have way too much stuff. And after cleaning out my parents' house, there was even more. So now I am trying to get rid of it all.

i've been trying to do that as well. Take a picture, to preserve the memory and leave the item where it is.

good self control; not only do you save money and avoid clutter, you have captured something you can share with perfect strangers!

Now that rooster would have come home with me. Did you go through the linens?

So colorful and cheerful. My grandma had a plaster rooster that must have been three feet by three feet that hung in the wall in her kitchen.

This plate is unique. I used to love rooster items, but since I have a rooster and chickens crowing right next door, I can live without them. I love the eggs they provide though haha.
