From across the border (from Illinois in other words)
I hope you aren't going to mind a few barns...I have some to post from my Monday drive. This one could use a little TLC, but other than the roof it does not look that bad. Below is a cropped portion of the above photo to give a better view.
It's so interesting to see the difference in building styles all around the world. This barn doesn't look anything like the barns you'll find in the Netherlands. I love it. I love the weathered wood and the cute little windows.
(And I too scrolled down to see other photos. The butterfly just below this post is stunning. Love the buildings. Thanks for pointing me towards this blog ;-))
This is a very interesting design. Looking at the windows it is hard to imagine how the floor inside is arranged in levels.... especially with the numerous doors at other levels. I'd like to see inside this one.\ Fine shots of the weathered building with the roof starting to fail.

I always love your barn photos, Rose. You should put all of them together in a little book.
Hugs,
Betsy

The weathered wood, the roof line, the tattered shingles, the windows at different levels///I like this barn a LOT
I love barn pictures and you always get some good ones too.
The barn looks like it is in pretty good repair compared with ones I see around here!

I never tire of the barns Rose.
I really love the faded wood on this one even though I know it would be best painted in order to preserve it. :)
I like this weather-beaten barn -- it shows a lot of character. It looks like it has been through some tough times but is still standing.
This is a very nice one. I should take more barn photos.
