I think there is a strange contrast with between the weathered barn and the spring green of things when these were taken.

I liked the different door that was on this...or half on anyway. It looks as if this has been painted at one time...

but the back side does not appear to have ever been touched with a paint brush. This makes me wonder was it built with used materials.
So there you have my entry for Tricia's Barn Charm meme....hope to see you there.
If you see this and it is not listed on the meme, please feel free to notify me...I get it ready ahead of time and sometimes almost forget that it is Monday.

I like the patina of the faint reddish paint. More than that I can just imagine coming along that little country road you can see and coming upon this old barn.
It looks abandoned but I don't think it would take much to restore it.
Nice find Rose!
Mine's on Round The Bend
Old barn wood -- years in the making. :) Love this Rose. Oldie but a goodie!
i like it too. such weathering...
Another winner! You have a great eye for barns and what makes a good photo of them.
These old barns have so much personality and intrigue. I always wonder if they are haunted by ghosts, and would love the stories hidden in the old boards. This one is so rustic with its unpainted wood, but seems to be hanging in there. Nice capture.
This is wonderful!
I first noticed the amount of wood...and those relatively narrow boards---so many of them---that were required to build this barn! I wonder if the "worn" side could be the side that has endured the prevailing winds and storms.
Funny how the front looks a little less weathered than the back. Love the colors.
A very endearing barn for sure. And I like the contrast, they make lovely partners.

This is a fine example of weathered wood and an interesting barn design in one! I like the utility that this design offered. Low clearance on the side and a "loft" that it not high as in most barns. Nice post.
Looks mysterious! I'd love to go through that barn :)
What a great old barn! I like what you said about the contrast between the spring green and the graying wood.
I like this one a lot!
Ohhh this one's a charmer, for sure! I love the contrast to the Spring green, too... Ya just can't beat the old natural weathered look to the poor thing... & I like the door, too, it's unique! Nobody puts that much time (cutting a door out like that) into building their barns anymore...
Thanks so much, Rose! =)
What a wonderful barn. Waiting for some new little calves to be frolicking around. It has a modern gate there---I wonder if it is still used at times. MB
Real charm on this one! I think you did a great job on capturing the real thing.
Tennessee is such a beautiful state. I spent several weeks in the summer one year. I love the hills and tall, tall trees!
No opening, window or door is the same size as any other. I can imagine a family building this barn to suit their needs, maybe using materials on hand or repurposed.
It looks as if the doors spent a lot of time open, the faded image still outlined on the wall.
The narrow boards are very different than any used in my area.
Great shots. Thanks for sharing.
I love seeing photos of old barns. I always wonder what's the story behind it.
Nice photos and I really liked the funeral home in the previous post, it's very unique!
This is a very weather-beaten barn, but it does look charming.
This barn has definitely seen better days, but it still has that certain 'something'.
This barn has it's charm. Looks like it's a huge barn. Thanks for sharing!
The Barn
I think this is a wonderful old barn. The green is such a lovely contrast. I really like the door way and how the door is shaped to fit. Great find, Rose!
