I have photos of this barn taken on another day but have not taken the time to hunt them out. These were taken two or three days ago, and are not very far from where I live. If the lighting had been a bit better, the top would have been perfect for a painting...as it is it is kind of dull. Though I think it is better when enlarged.

It really is a charming barn in my opinion...something about the way the ivy trails up the corner there...
Join me and enter your own barn over at Tricia's Barn Charm Meme...we could always use a few more barns.

i like how it is nestled amongst the greens. :)
I think it's very charming and I like the ivy on it.
The barn looks so pretty sitting amongst the wildflowers in the meadow.
I like this barn a lot! Without electrical lines, vehicles, etc., it looks like you could step right back in time. Nice photos!
I think it has oodles of charm!
I like how you can see different ages, the doors, the walls, the roof and now the vines, all different times of the barn's life.
What a pretty rural scene with the barn sitting back there with the flowers and grass in the front. There is even the little fence. It looks to be vacant. Hope it does not have to sit all alone for too long. It has some good years ahead if it is put to use. Genie
Great beauty and just peaceful sitting in that green field!
Happy Monday!
It's a very charming barn. I like the ivy too.
I like how nature seems to be hovering close, protecting it. It's lovely.
Now that's a charmer, for sure! The red is perfectly faded, centered perfectly in the field, love the ivy growing up the corner, & the wood fence! It's beautiful, Rose!!! =)
Thank you! =)
PS In your comment, you mentioned that us 'Barn Charmers' need to get up the nerve to do some actual investigating... I completely agree, but I'm like you, I would have to overcome a lot of shyness to do it.
I can't imagine knocking on a barn owner's door & asking about their barn! *gasp* =0
I'd have to have a man w/ me to do it, kinda like my protection, ya know? heheheee
I'm afraid the owners would be reluctant to talk about them to a stranger, but, I would soooo love to document some history on these old beauties!
Rose, It is hard to beat a country barn for picturesque. You are right, I think this would be a good one to paint.
Also, those double doors into the hay loft would look nice with a quilt pattern or flower scene painted on them.

It is just lovely, with the ivy and the two shades of red and the silo behind it. NOBODY does barns as beautifully as you!!! We live in barn country, and none of mine are this good!! Not yet anyway. Maybe after looking at yours for awhile, who knows?
'Tis a beauty of a barn, Rose. The setting is charming also. I like the little mid door. And it looks like a newish door on the upper hayloft. All in all a wonderful pastoral scene--and---you should paint it, just give it a blue sky and some clouds. MB
Beautiful but looks like lonely. ^_^
Barn Charm
I love the barn, I love the setting. Wonderful shot. :-)
