These were taken a few hours ago...from the strip pits. Looking into Illinois... I like that both of these have birds in flight in them. In the top picture, the bird looks like a speck of dirt or something but it is a bird....
Both images are very successful. I like the first for its more expansive view of the sunset and the last one for its detail and strips of clouds across the sun. The birds add to each picture. Very nice post, Rose.
Rose, how stunning!!! I love to take sunset pictures! I wondered what that first speck was, how very cool that you got the birds in this shot, so truly beautiful...
Stunning! Love the colors of this sunset and the halo around the sun. In your second image, it looks like the clouds are cradling the sun.
The sunset was nice here last night, too. Unfortunately, the image I clicked was in a parking lot in Avon, so couldn't get a decent one without power lines obscuring the view. =(
Lovely! We had a nice cloudy sky last night and I didn't have my camera with me (we were in the car somewhere). Seems like I haven't done any sky for quite awhile.

Gorgeous sunset shots! How nice of the birds to cooperate.
