These were taken over a week ago...
At that time we were still seeing fields of corn that were mostly still green. Now they are all starting to turn brown and some are just basically all turned color with hardly even a hint of green left.

I like the pictures but not so much the fact that we are moving closer to winter. I've noticed things changing color around here too. It's still subtle right now but before you know it will be in full on fall.

We usually boil corns. However, I love to eat broiled one with soy sauce.
we drove the back roads some day this week and saw a lot of corn fields with the corn tops neatly cut off. Terry and I wondered how in the heck that was done. Yes, lots of brown stalks here too. I wonder if it's feed corn.

It has been very dry here. We neeed some good rain. MOst of the cornfields here look similar. Friendship

Hi suppose good eating days are over too. Fine close up with detail.
The corn is being harvested here. Most of the fields have already been cut. A big change from last year when it must have been a month later before the corn was cut.
The corn is completely brown here, no green anywhere. If only it would rain...

When we visited Iowa one year, we saw the most wonderful corn fields. It was quite a sight. Like nothing I've ever seen before. I'll always remember the corn fields in Iowa. Your photos brought back fond memories, Rose. : )
