These look like Turkey Vultures. I love how the sun is on their faces. Maybe that is how their faces got so suburned!!

They certainly aren't the prettiest birds but they are interesting to watch. Sometimes I can see them circling around high in the sky. These are great images!

We've lived in our house for nearly 30 years, and I've seen more of these guys around than in previous years. Neat pictures!

reminder to hook up to birdin, these are absolutely gorgeous photos of these oh so ugly birds. I am one person who likes vultures. God's Garbage Guys is what I call them, without these birds our world would be a stinky mess. they clean up the mess perfectly.... EXCELLENT photos of them

Fabulous shots. If it wasn't for those heads they might be rather pretty. I love seeing them when they're flying

Never have a good impression of vultures, always thinking it is a bird looking out for dead carcasses or corpse.

Hello,

Cool photos of the vultures, they are neat birds. Happy weekend to you!

We have lots of these where I live. Down the road a piece there is a tree where hundreds of them congregate. Great close ups. Friendship

Great captures.
They sure are ugly but are beautiful to see soaring high up in the sky.

We have black vultures that land on our fence during winter to Sun themselves with their wings stretched out. Great photos!

I have to say those faces are not beautiful, but oh the beauty these birds display when in flight.

Wow! They look impressive and so many together. But they won't win the "cutest" award, even with your excellent photos. But maybe the "best avian cleaners" award?

They all have their eyes on something. Maybe, they are waiting on a careless motorist. ;-)

You make those ugly birds look beautiful - well, almost!
Great photos!

The white faced vultures look rather distinguished. Here we have some that have black faces and I like them better than the red faces.

Thanks so much for joining us birders and sharing your blog post this weekend. Those of us at I'd Rather B Birdin' appreciate your photos!

Splendid close-ups of these vultures! nice plumage detail in the first shot as he strikes a pose for you. I would have thought they were a lot more timid than what they exhibit here.
