I love the contrast of textures. The leaf has beautiful color and detail. A wonderful composition!
Wow, you are good at tree I.D.! I have not seen any looking like this around here.
This is a perfect example of less is more.
Lucky leaf. To be the chosen one from thousands of others. I am deep into "O Rugged Land of Gold." I don't want to stop reading. It has been a rainy day here, so it was a good day for reading. I have a sore throat and don't feel worth a toot; may be a good day tomorrow to finish the book. Thanks for recommending the book!
Somehow when you zoomed in on the single leaf, our attention was brought to focus on the beauty of the leaf.
I like this very much. The gravel makes a perfect bed for the leaf.
Hari OMless is more - and this is lots! YAM xx
Oh I like this one. I love ombre look of the leaf.

Pretty leaf and photo. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy weekend!
An oak for sure. Now I will have to check the species, but I am sure you are right! It's a lovely shot. My unsophisticated eye would probably just see a leaf on the ground, yours leaps to thoughts of contrast, balance and composition. Well done!
it looks so good on the stones and look at all those veins we can see. super photo
The white rock make a great background for this beautiful leaf. The picture has great detail.
Lovely against the light colored rocks. Friendship
Pretty on the rocks.
This is Autumn for sure.
And a pretty one at that. The leaves are falling down here too, Rose. It's wonderful to see.~Sheri
