I like your composition with the low horizon line. It really does show off how flat it is there.
Kodak was spot on. And your photos always awake strong feelings that come as a surprise to me. Today's takes me back to times when many had a closer relationship to the land and seasons.

I like this photo a lot. I've always thought I would like to live on a farm. Of course this would not include me doing all the work required.
If those farmers came from around here they'd have thought it looked like good land. The Fens here look just as flat as that. Farmers from northern Germany or the Netherlands would have liked it too.
Such a vast flat land. Beautiful even without the greens.

I just said that same thing to Bob this past week. about what the new people from other countries thought of the flat land. we were watching a movie that made me think of it. for a hundred years people left the east coast and moved through all different terrain, and I wonder what they thought of each from the mountains to the plains, and swamps. either walking or drawn by horses they saw it before we messed it up

In New Zealand, even on the Canterbury Plains, there are always hills or mountains on the horizon. I would find it very strange to see so much flat land if I was a pioneer.
Many of those folks sure became successful.
A beautiful image. This is a lovely well kept farm. It is really flat!
They loved that flat land and deep rich topsoil. The winds and blowing snow may have given them some pause though. ;-)
