A quilt from the past...

Just for a change, thought I would show another quilt I did.  One of my daughters claimed it.  It was one of those things that just evolved.  I wish I had better pics but I don't.

beautiful hand craft. you say "just evolved," and while there is no intricate, symmetrical pattern, it is clear you spent a lot of effort selecting coordinating and complementary colors to stitch together.

That took a lot of patience and talent. Your daughter is lucky to have it.

That's a beauty! There's not much of a tradition of quilting in England, as far as I'm aware, though every so often an exhibition of quilts pops up proving that there are quilters here too.

I really enjoy your posts--- you should stop apologizing for pictures that aren't brand new or that you think are less than great. THis picture is absolutely perfect for the quilt!! Good stuff.

Very nice. I like it. I think it's a perfect picture. I had the idea to make a quilt once. I got about 2 blocks made and they were so wonky that I decided right then and there that it was something I just couldn't do...lol

What a talent it is to sew a quilt. They remind me of the pioneer days, and do you know that's my favorite era? I was thinking of doing a post on our favorite time in life? I'd love to know yours. : )
