I went to an even smaller country church for many years. I can still smell how that basement, where the Sunday School was held, smelled. Sweet fellowship was had in that church.
It is lovely! And very well kept up, too.

I can relate to Ruths comment, our church was smaller and not as pretty and clean as this one, and there was a special smell in the basement. this church is really pretty
you can see a lot of little churches like that here in Amish Country. If you happen to drive by on a Sunday morning, not only do you see black buggies, but the parking lot is full of BLACK cars. I don't think I would like to live in dull dark colors.

There is an old church in my town that I sometimes take pictures of. It used to be a Catholic Church, and the Priest was a friend of the family. They now use the church for weddings and receptions. It's over 100 years old, and it still stands. What a sight these old churches must be when you drive through the countryside, Rose.
