Fluffy....

Out of all the birds under the feeder, this is the only one that was all fluffed up like it was cold!

On the positive side...I cannot believe how much better I feel.  I still have the cold, but just not so miserable.

On the negative side...our furnace/heat stopped putting out heat this morn.  It was 1ºF when we first discovered it, but went to 0º later.  They guy came this afternoon, and a motor was shot.  It will be Monday before they can get one in.  So in the mean time we brought in the electric space heaters from Roger's shop.

Thank goodness for those space heaters.

The little bird is so cute with his fluffy little belly.

Thank goodness you have the shop heaters! We are in for a big warm up this weekend, so hopefully you are too. I hope you continue to feel lots better. It has been two weeks since I got sick and I am still coughing quite a bit. I love the Steel Magnolias quote. I'll think of that when I am in a bad mood! The birds at our feeders sure did eat a lot the past couple of days.

Man, it is way too cold there to have your furnace go on the fritz! Hope you are toasty warm now. Cute bird!💖

Crikey, what a time to blow the heating - then again, I guess it has to work harder so this is more likely to be the time. Bummer. Hope those space heaters suffice for you at those temps. I love to have crochet or woven blanket on hand to wrap the knees and shoulders too. YAM xx

(PS - a little guidance like the other day... when you get spam comments like the one above you are best to go to the 'comments' tab on the sidebar of your dashboard (about three below 'posts' I think), where you can select it and use the spam button to remove it from the blog and dump it in the relevant folder. Google is pretty good at noting what has been spammed and it can do its best to prevent you getting another from that source.) Yxx

Hello,

It is a cold time for the heater to blow. The space heaters will help, we have a heat pump and it is cold this morning 15, the thing is running constantly. Love the cute bird all puffy looking. Stay warm and safe.

Isn't that the way it always goes. Things break down when you need them the most. Thank goodness you had the space heaters to keep you warm.
That little guy looks cute with his feathers all fluffed out like that.

Glad you are feeling better. Dang that furnace. Why in the heck do they always wait for the coldest weather to poop out.

Glad you have heaters to use in the meantime. If only one bird is fluffed up, when it's not that could, it could be sign that it is not well.

Such a cute little bird. It is definitely cold there. I am glad that you are feeling better and glad that you were able to get heaters. It is cold here in the 30's but not nearly what you are experiencing.

I hope your furnace gets fixed today, Rose. It's not that cold here, but it's still chilly in the mornings. We've had sunny days, but don't know if more rain is to come. Stay warm and cozy. : )
