Dragonfly + need help with flower identiy.

 I thought about what photo to use in this post.

so first, I will share another dragonfly shot from last week.

Can anyone identify the above?  I have not not seen it before.  I wondered was it Pink Loosestrife.


Update, Michael Rawluk's wife was the first to identify this as Persicaria and I see several of you agree.  Thank you all so much.

According to my wife, it is Persicaria.

As usual, your dragonfly shot has blown my mind. Don't think I have ever seen this flower before, though.

Great shot of the dragonfly. I've never seen that flower before and have no idea what it is.It sure is pretty though

I used Google Lens app to identify and it says its Persicaria orientalis. Have a wonderful day.

we love dragonflies very much Rose... they eat mosquitoes up to ten times their weight... wee get up to 15 of them dancing in our front deck in the evenings...
as for the flower i could have gone with the tip of a young lupine....peter:)

Fine detail and i like the blue color of the dragonfly. His eyes seem to be staring straight up at you.
