We made a run through the strip pits...found out that the red-winged blackbirds have returned. I thought at first that the one above did not have any red at all on the wing, but there is a tiny bit. Compare the amount of red on it to the amount on the one below!

Aren't those blackbirds just gorgeous, Rose? I've seen one ONCE here --but that is all. They may be around, but I haven't seen them --except for that one time, on the golf course.
Hugs,
Betsy
Two nice captures!
Wonder why the difference. We don't see too many red-wings down this away...don't know why.
Nice shots, Rose.
Hope you have a wonderful week...
I once lived on a pond that had a nice flock of red-winged blackbirds. I enjoyed them very much. Where I live now...none that I've ever noticed. Fine close ups of these pretty birds.
The difference in the amount of red color is fascinating. I remember seeing quite a few red-winged blackbirds in Indiana, but haven't seem many since I moved down here.
I haven't seen any red-winged blackbirds here yet but I'm expecting them any day now. Nice photos!
