A couple of different barns for Barn Charm....both on a hillside...both taken while we paused in our drive. Both are in Tennessee.The top one is small and might have been a crib or some other outbuilding. But the one below is fairly big.
These were about the only options for shots with the terrain around the barns. I sort of like the last one anyway, but wish I could have gotten a better view of it. These are wonderful barns. Amazing that they were built on the hillsides.
I guess if you have hilly land, you don't have a choice but to build like that! Yikes!
Love the weathered gray of the wood! Also like the perspective of these shots; they definitely show how they were built on hills.

Must have been a difficult barn to construct. Someone must have needed it very badly to put it on a hillside. Great shots, Rose. :)
These are fine barns built in difficult places. That last one, especially, is amazing in that it must have been hard to design let alone build it on such a hillside. Fine wood textures in it too. Fine post.
These are both great barns. With the extra challenge of the hillside it's amazing that they are still standing.
Looks like they might be slip-sliding away ... but what great old places. It would be fun to check them out inside as well.
It's barely hanging just don't know why they build it in a spot where it's difficult for us maybe not for them hehe. I like to see closer to this kind of barn or maybe look inside that would be cool. Thanks for sharing!

Both are great finds, Rose! I bet they had problems building them on the side of a hill like that! I wonder what they kept in them...

I'm trying to look at this on a small laptop. (I've been away from my home for a few days) and I think I need to look at tis on a bigger scrren to get the full effect!
I like both of these barns. It's so hard to find flat land in some parts of Tennessee!

Great barn. I like the way it's built onto the side of the hill, though I would think that could make for a very wet barn at certain times of the year. lol
