I thought I would at least try to join the first Barn Charm of 2012....

I managed to get a couple close-up views, but they are all from basically the same angle.

I wondered what the block building had been...

The little brick building, if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say it was the milkhouse. Regulations in the 1920s required milk to be stored in a separate room from the milking parlor and the entrance had to be from the outside, not connected to the dairy barn itself... love your shots!
Lovely old gal!
I like that little stone block building. I wonder if Madge is right about it being a milkhouse. Love the patina of the paint too.
It needs some TLC and I'd love to see it fixed up.
Lovely old barn! Great shots!
Love the shape of this old barn. It's definately seen better days though hasn't it. Could do with a little TLC
Great shots of the barn!
love the white wash look of it!
well the description charm fits this one. so pretty. i wonder if the little block building was a smoke house. my uncle had one that looked a lot like this, but then it is close to the barn, and that might not be good. very strange where it is sitting
Wonderful images. The old barn surely has many stories to tell.
i love those loft overhangs. yup, i would have guessed an old milkhouse, too. :)
That barn is GORGEOUS... I don't know what the brick/block shed or whatever was used for, but the barn is sooo awesome, Rose! Great find
Thank you very much for joining, much appreciated! =)
A very interesting barn with different windows and doors. I like the slate gray color of the barn too. Nice going, Rose.
Nice shots! I'm guessing milkhouse, too. Happy Barn Charm!
Great barn. Wonderful pics! Congrats on being first!
Happy New Year! Love these pics.
Great find. Looks like nobody is using these barn anymore. Happy New Year!
Barn Charm
You've gotten 2012 off to a good start. This is a charming barn, although it could use some TLC.
Oh Rose, what a nice old barn you have here. I imagine the brick building was the milk house. Too cool.

What a great old barn! I love the whitewashed look and it's shape.
Great old barn, and interesting to think that might have been a milk house!
I came across your blog through another I follow and so glad I did. Your photos are absolutely charming! I will follow you...I need lots of 'charming.' LOL! Especially love those barns!
This barn has character! I love it.
Beautiful photos! That barn is awesome, and the brick building, hmmm, milk house? or ice house?
I love barn pictures. This one deffinately has alot of charm
Based upon some of the little buildings like this in our area, it might well have been the spring house where the cold water ran in and through a trough. That would be my guess. genie
I haven't taken part in barn charm since before Christmas, but hope to start up again next week. Gives me time to build up my photo stock. lol
That is a great barn, and great shots. :-)
