This is the glorious trumpet vine...I have a love-hate relationship with it. I cannot help but thrill with the beauty of it. Yet when I worked at the orchard, I seen what it can do. It can literally strangle the life out of a tree.

what a beautiful picture. i saw some trumpet vines growing on a tree just the other day. it's sad to know that they will take the trees life. hope all is well. have a great day~
same with me, we have it on our back fence and it will take over. but it is beautiful. i have seen it growing on power lines and in the tops of 3 story high trees.
It is beautiful and i didn't know that about it. Invasives are a problem all over.
So, so beautiful! We have those all over here in the desert!

i love these vines. mine has been growing slowly for years - fits and starts. was doing great, again, this spring - then the grasshoppers have all but devoured it.

This vine does have beautiful blossoms.
I have a love-hate relationship with the trumpet vine in my side yard. It's pretty but quite invasive, for sure.
