now a days they would use a bucket to lift the painter up there to do all the detail, I am always amazed that they could build things like this in 1871...I wonder if they built scaffolding back then. all those heavy bricks ups so high and details at the top, plus the roof
It still looks like newly painted.
I think it would take a painter with a history of caring about this building.
People must have had more time and patience back in 1871.

I love all the detailed architecture in the older buildings.
It's beautiful but you'll need a long ladder to get up there I imagine.
I love seeing painted details like that but wouldn't want to be the one to do it!
