Whooping Crane...from 2016


I am so hoping to get to go back down to Goose Pond this spring...maybe we will see them again.

We have just a few Common Cranes living wild in England, I see them very occasionally. Dig the colour-coordinated leg rings!

A great find in this crane with its pristine plumage!! He stands out nicely against the grasses.

It looks as if he is banded. Perhaps someone is doing a study of it's migration or life span. Nice shot.

Majestic!Great capture of this endangered species. We have sandhill cranes several miles from us. They and the Whooping crane are the only two crane species native to America,I think.
