A rare find! Looks like it's legs are banded.
I hope you do get down there again, and that you have more opportunities to take more pictures. Fingers crossed.
We have just a few Common Cranes living wild in England, I see them very occasionally. Dig the colour-coordinated leg rings!

Majestic!Great capture of this endangered species. We have sandhill cranes several miles from us. They and the Whooping crane are the only two crane species native to America,I think.
