Since Lorelei will be here later, and I won't have time to participate in Friday's Fences...I thought I would show the what the photo in the previous post came from.
Can you imagine the rough ride that this gave?
Also, just think what this invention meant to farmers.

A rough ride, but excellent traction compared to rubber tires. The old tractor is a great subject.
