I was looking for some photo the other night and came across this one, taken in 2008. I first thought for barn charm, but then didn't use it for that. I needed something for Friday's fences and it fits the bill.
This one was taken Tuesday, not the first time I have taken a photo of it and every time it is a horrible time of day...but I like the fence so just sticking it in here.To see other fences or to leave the link for your very on fence, go check in at Life According to Jan and Jer.

The fence in the second photos looks like it might have been an afterthought with the varying sizes of posts, but it does exude a certain amount of character! I understand about having trouble catching the right time of day for a photo. I once went to a place seven times and never got the photo I wanted. It was on a perfect east/west grid and the morning light cast shadows on the building, the midday light was too bright, and the late afternoon light left the building in darkness. I finally gave up!
Either one of those fences would keep critters from wandering!

I'm with Kathy. I noticed the size and heights of the posts in the second one. I also noticed the green metal sign with the numbers. I'm assuming maybe they serve the same purpose as here - for emergency vehicles to find the right place.
There is something so interesting about a plain, no-nonsense kind of working fence! I can just imagine the work of keeping fences up, like the first one.
The old fence has a lot of character don't you think? Happy weekend and thanks for the visit too.

Both are fine "fence" shots. The bottom one is so good with all the density of fence posts...which easily overcomes the blank white sky (which we are having frequently here). :-)
I really like your b/w of the barn it makes it look kind of vintage.
That is a right rickety fence in the 2nd shot.

I like the fence too. It seems to be made for small animals. Maybe goat or lamb. :)
