Wide range for Friday's Fences....

First, a shot of a fence post. You can see my Barn Charm entry in the background....I love these old concrete fence posts. They have a feel of permanence about them...you know whoever once owned the place, planned on being there a while.

How about a little change of weather...it is the schoolhouse from Billie Creek village. This shot was taken in 1995...
and here you have probably my favorite....

it is not a great photograph technically but I think it wins in mood. I ran to the strip pits late last night...got there just before the sun went down...I happened to look in my rear view mirror and saw the electric fence lines reflecting the last of the sun's rays. I stopped and hopped out and shot a couple shots. This is straight towards the sun....

This is my entry to Jan's Friday's Fences...

I like the concrete post. If the posts held up it was easier to keep the fence up as well.
That second shot is wonderful with the school and church in the background.
I like the last shot of the sun!

Awesome photos. The first photo reminds me of our fence in the Philippines. Great shots!

Your concrete fence post reminded me of my childhood, when I lived in an area of Kansas that had fence posts made of sandstone. Enduring!

It's a ribbon of light running down the road!! I have never noticed concrete fence posts before!! The schoolhouse is charming and looks like a little church or chapel; what is it used for now?

Oh, yes, the last one is my favorite too!

All of your fences are neat. I really like your last photo with the fences reflecting the light of the setting sun, but I think my favorite is the picture of the church.

I like all three, but I really like the shot of the schoolhouse. That's not your usual schoolyard fence!

Love that schoolyard fence, and that last shot is just magical!

Three fine shots. Love that cement post. The school house looks so well maintained. Your last "prize" is a wonderful impromptu shot. Thankfully you noticed ths and stopped to get a shot. Very dramatic and effective image.

All just wonderful, but I adore the schoolhouse, and it's fence. Just too charming! The last photo is very dream-like. Great post!

I like the concrete posts, too. Every book you read or lecture given says not to shoot into the sun. You have proved them all wrong!

What a beautiful series of fences. I have never seen a concrete fence post before. Very permanent.

What a range of moods in these three photos, Rose! The everydayness(don't think that word would be legal in a Scrabble game!)of the sturdy fence posts, the serenity of the little church in the snow, and the golden light in that last photo--who cares if it's not technically 100%. It's still an example of looking at your world and seeing beauty in the ordinary.

Well, that is a first for me...a concrete post. Bet it is a sturdy one. The little red schoolhouse is so sweet. It is such a lovely deep color of red. I do not blame you for turning around and taking that last picture. It is magical. genie

The red church building in the snow is beautiful/ The fence makes it even more so.

I'm glad you're getting to the pits more often.
