Barn Charm

This is a barn I have passed near many times and never really notice till a few days ago...

These are not really processed in any way other than to size down for publishing here and I think I hit the sharpen button. I like the color of this weathered wood and wonder why most barns have an overall bray appearance but some has this richer color.

I could tell the barn is kind of old because of the roof. But I see good wood hanging. ^_^ Great find.

This is an oldie but goodie! I'll bet it was a beauty in its day.

I'm wondering why so many people let their barns fall into ruin...guess it is poor farmer's who just can't afford the upkeep...I just watched some of "Farm Aid" last night.

Looks like it has had more than one coat of paint -- but the weather won out. Great barn.

Isn't that the truth - I, too, have started seeing things that I never noticed before. That makes the daily commute so much more interesting:)

This is truly a charming barn. It looks as if it could use some TLC, however.

This one has quite a hodge podge of new and old wood, which would drive me insane if it were on my property!

It's certainly a massive building. One of the best features of the photo is the picnic table!

Nice! Isn't it amazing how we can drive past something numerous times and never see it. Looks like it is well hidden back in the trees.

Looks like the rust is about all that is holding this one together! Interesting photo - would love to know the story behind all these old barns!

I like the combination of a general view followed with a close up that shows the decay very well. It's a great rustic looking barn.

Wonderful photos Rose! Poor barn, it's about to fall down.

Isn't it strange how the day to day evades our notice? Very nice barn photo.

I love the patina of the old wood. Maybe it is richer because it is more shaded by the trees. Anyway it is great. MB

Lovely old barn but it could do with a lick of paint. :)

The poor thing is a patch work project, but I'm still attracted to it & the rusted roof is icing on the cake!

Thanks for joining, Rose! =)

I think that barn is stunning!

The colours are aging well on this barn. I wonder if some types of wood turn grey bit others turn brown over time.
