B&W version
I posted this in color a couple months ago...I found this version that I had did in B&W and like it better than the color version.

From the old files...
I was looking through my photos for something to post. I came across several barn photos that really appeal to me. This was taken in September of 2004. It is a drive-by. I think it is better when clicked on to expand the view.

Drive through the strip pits...
I drove through the strip pits today...once on my way to the quilt shop and then again as I came back home. I saw several of these short-eared owls.

A hodge-podge for Barn Charm
Someone posted a barn that was built similar to this 2 or 3 weeks ago. Only the one they posted was in wonderful shape.....just a beauty. But it immediately made me this of this old one. So I wanted to post it...these are never before posted photos of it, but I have posted other photos of it.
I have been watching it for several years now....just a few more boards are missing. I really do wonder just how long it can continue to stand.
These two photos were from our drive yesterday. I love the barn above, have passed it a million times, and think I have only attempted to shoot it one other time. I just love its gambrel roof. It isn't far from here, but not a real good place to pull off the road so just got this drive by shot. You can see that the fence is sort of blurry...we were going at least 55-60 mph.
This is one I had seen a few times before...it is on a back road so we did pause as I took the photo. This is through the windshield.

Hard to resist....
We were at Mansfield this afternoon...fished just a little. I saw this kitty....and almost brought her home. Not that I need another but the look from her eyes and just her face in general reminds me of my last Cougar...

Another foggoy morning shot
The girls have gone to eat with the other side of the family but will be back shortly. Just thought I would take this opportunity to post a photo.

Another drive-by from Tennessee
We had Lorelei for the weekend...always hard for me to get back into normal things after she goes home. I miss her terribly when we take her and then come back home to such an empty feeling house. But she'll be back...for Thanksgiving!

A long time getting this one...
We pass this sign every time we go to get Lorelei, or every time we go to her house. I have been meaning to snap a photo of it for two or three years now and just a bit back remember it in time to get my camera out.

From last year
I wanted to do a quick post and was looking back to last year about this time...came across this. I don't think I have posted it before....and I do think that clicking on it shows it off better....

Tennessee Quilt Barn Charm
I think I actually stopped for all of these shots...the only one I am not positive about is the top and I am pretty sure we at least paused...
The last three there was actually room to pull off....
I am always amazed at the applique blocks with all the curved lines.
And whoever did this Mariner's compass really had a job and had talent.
Hope you have enjoyed them...linking to Barn Charm

From Veedersburg fleamarket...
This is another item from the flea market...not sure what it was used for. If you know, feel free to tell us. Now take a look at what it was sitting on...
Notice the feet! Yes, this is the item that had the clawfoot I photographed and showed the other day.

From the road
We have passed this for years.... I just this year tried to photo graph as we passed. I have been trying to find out just what it is. I think it is Dupont...I see it from I275.

A quick snap...
This was on past the building that is seen in yesterday fence shot...I actually think it was a house and not a barn that is showing. Roger paused for me to try to get a quick shot of this. I have straightened it, and tried to improve it. Still not as good as I would like...but had to show the quilt block.

Friday's fence from Tennessee
This week my Friday's fence is from Tennessee...it is a drive by...I don't even know what the building was that it was by. Just no stopping to take photos.
Twisting, winding roads...and enough traffic that we didn't dare stop if we couldn't see just a little way behind us.
