Back in time for The Barn Collective...

Hopefully, I will remember to link to the Barn Collective without Tom having to remind me this time.  I totally forgot last week till he reminded me.

Anyway, I didn't get out to hunt any new barns, or take any new barn photos this past week, so going all the way back to November of 2005

These are all barns fairly close to where I live now...I bet none are more than 10 miles away.  If even that.

But of the ones I am showing from that day, I think I could find the one above...

and possibly this one.  Maybe we should go for a drive next week and see if we can find these barns and see what they look like now.

I like this one for the fact that there are cows and fences in the shot....

Here we have a cropped portion of the photo...look at that little calf!  Just so little.

Here is the last photo of this post....I thought at first not exactly a barn photo, but at the end of the field on the right is is the top of what appears to be a barn.  Go ahead and click on this photo if none of the others...I love it when the view is expanded.  It is one of my favorite photos I have ever taken.

Trees with tractors

That tree really is that color...we saw it peeping over the top of that pole barn from way down the road.  It captured our attention right away.  I like this shot with the old tractor in the foreground.  The one above is in Parke County....

And this one is in Vermillion County...both in Indiana.  Both were taken on October 23....

Winter wonderland

This is Brouillette's Creek....it starts over in Illinois and eventually makes it way to the Wabash River. This photo was taken in Indiana just mile or so from the Illinois border.

In Eugene, Indiana

I have been in and through Eugene a lot of times, and noticed this building for the first time last weekend. It is the Eugene Township Trustees.

Another nice paint job

I don't think they are quite through with this building...notice the awning has paint on it. I have a feeling that it will receive its on makeover before this building is considered finished. It is also located in Newport, in Vermillion County--across from the courthouse.

Fence and flowers

I love fences...I don't know why. This just seems like such a bright little spot....I love these Black-eyed Susans any time so to see them against the white fence was more than I could resist....I was saying stop, stop...back up a little bit!

And tan.....

This barbershop is also across from the Vermillion County courthouse...I love the 'and tan' part It makes me smile. I am not even sure this is in business at all. It really looked empty.

One-stop shopping

We stopped up in Newport Sunday...I took photos of the Vermillion County courthouse...this was across the street on one side. I suggest that you enlarge it it and take a good look at it. Look at the sign...it is a one-stop shopping place. I may be joking, but I bet the people are really happy to have it there. Otherwise, it would be a bit of a drive to go get even a gallon of milk.
And if you have a minute to spare, enlarge this and look at the paint job. It is really an amazing job...

Comments wanted....

Below you will find 2 photos + a copy of each photo. In both cases the first is the one straight out of the camera except reduced in size...which is much darker than it actually was. Well, even the the ones I have manipulated in Photoshop are still darker.
I really hope you will click on each one and compare...and tell me which you like the best. Or tell me if the first one is so dark you can't make heads or tails of it.
I really need some feedback on these...I sort of like all of them but I am looking at them on my laptop, and I know when I go look at the on the desktop once published they will look different there.
Different there almost always means darker, but when I go to Sarah and Jeremy's house and get on their computer, they are usually not as dark as on our old desktop, but probably still a bit darker than on here.
So, I am hoping for feedback on these...just to see how they look on yours....or anyone else you might get to look at them.

Just a little play on Cat Stevens' song Wild World. But isn't it beautiful? Just almost other worldly feeling.

Indiana sunset

This was taken last summer, northwest of Clinton, Indiana. I don't know how you feel about a sky like this, but I can never get enough of them. I cannot remember when I started always watching the sky, but I know I had started when I was in high school.
