How would you like this?

We came across this place in October...I can't believe I haven't posted it.  I have glanced back to see if I can find it and I can't.
Notice the sign in the window?  I didn't until I downloaded the pictures...
And look what it says!

Time for some fences!

A drive by of course...you can tell it when the view is expanded for sure.  It is one of those places there is no place to pull over!
Here are couple different views of this barn with fence...
And then I am giving a couple of another barn and fence..
We used to pass these last two barns on the way to see Lorelei.  These photos were taken last week when we happened to pass that way again.

IF I can remember, I am linking to:

Old things....

As I look at the pics I took that day, I want to go back and take more...

Time for some barns...

Thought I would take a moment and post a few barn photos for the Barn Collective...I am only going back to the summer of 2014 for these.  They are all taken either in Indiana or Illinois.
Because of the other photos from this day, I think the first three came from Illinois...
Definitely not the best photos, at least they are a record of sorts showing these old barns.
This barn has been and still is a real beauty.
This one is from Indiana...in fact, I think I could take you right to it.  It is east and north of Perrysville, Indiana.  It is along the route of one of my favorite drives.
This one is south of Perrysville...and it is on Coffing Brothers Rd.  Again, along the route we travel fairly often.  I have posted this photo before, as well as other photos of this same barn.

I may be slow getting everyone visited, but I will get to your barn eventually....

Christmas Cardinals...

I saw this post by Eileen and thought how often I think of Christmas when I see the male Northern Cardinal...
so I thought I would share a few cardinal photos taken this morn.
I know these first 3 or 4 photos are the same Northern Cardinal, but there was at least two out there.
Shoot, I might as well throw in the Mrs....
oh, and here is another male..
and another of a female..

Hope you enjoyed these beautiful cardinals.

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas...I probably won't post any more before Christmas and maybe not even before 2016.  I hope you have a safe, healthy and joyous New Year.

1916 Barn & others

If you will expand the view, you will see the date 1916 on the cupola.  (Have I ever told you that every time I go to type cupola, I have to look it up to see how it is spelled?)  I think this barn looks nice enough to live in.
I don't think I have posted this one...notice the solar panels on the red building.
Then there is this one...I cannot decide what those 'windows' are made of.
Notice the light shining through them in the shed part.
While this is not a barn exactly,  there is  part of one one.  But the focus is the roof of the other.  Every time I run across this shot, I think what gigantic birds!  Am I the only one that thinks birds when seeing these?

Somewhere along the way....

We passed this house on our way to Shipshewana...I could not decide with version I liked best...

so I am posting both.  As you can guess by the mailbox, it is a drive-by.

Through my window...

This Blue Jay was visiting a couple weeks ago...
Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal came as well.
Then a few others besides....

I know I need a new feeder but I can not find one that fills my requirements.  Most are made of plastic, and even if they aren't, then there will be something else about them that I just do not like.
Some actually have a top that has to be screwed off and on to fill.  On others, the wire it hangs from won't work for me.

From the passenger's seat...

Taken on the fly...I would hate to know how many pictures I have taken of this barn over the years.  I bet it is well over a hundred.  I thought I would use this as a fence shot this time.
It was misting rain just a tiny bit.  Trying to make up its mind if it was going to rain or not.
These last two shots were taken the same day as the post a couple posts down.

Thanks to Theresa for continuing to host:

Not quite a sign...

Or, in my case, to be the person my grand-dogs think I am.

Days like this...

Today started out drab and dreary.  Then the sun came out for about two minutes.  Then back to the dreariness.  But then this afternoon...it turned out to one of those glorious days....not going to say much...just hope you enjoy these half as much as I did.  Remember to click to expand the view.
This one is through the back window...going 60 mph.  The rest are either stopped, or very slow.

Antique

This was in an antique shop...it really caught our eye. In my mind, I see it as a goose, then I wondered was it supposed to be a swan.

First an oldie...taken in 2009.  I have no clue where it is taken.  The rest are going to be fresh pics but of barns I have posted before.  I snap pics of them every time I pass...
First there is this barn.  It is west of Paris, Illinois.  click here and here to see how it appeared before.  I was so thrilled with its TLC.
This is one of my favorite barns.  It is impossible to stop so I am always snapping a pic as we drive by.    I have never been inside a barn with a Gothic Arch roof...I told Roger if I saw someone outside I would be tempted to stop and ask to see inside.

I will be linking to Tom's Barn Collective meme...please join us if you have a barn

Little big pink house...from Arcola, Illinois

When we were in Arcola, Illinois the other day, we pulled up to a stop sign and this was across the way.
I took the first two photos while we were at the stop sign.
As we left Arcola, we went back by way of the house, and Roger paused to let me snag a couple shots.
I think it looks like a house any little girl would love!
