This post is featuring a few shots from Patton's Corner. Patton's corner is just a little spot out in the country....a spot beside the road. I have posted other posts from there here and here. If you are into old things, you will probably enjoy them.
When we headed up there, it was overcast, but by the time we got there the sun was going in and out behind the clouds.
I thought I would re-enter the blogging world again with this post...not sure how much I will get to blog. Seems like every time I start something interrupts me and when I get interrupted, it is hard to get back in the grove.
Anyway, can't resist joining Rubbish Tuesday...it is one of my favorite memes.

Roger has been busy, too
This is the second of this combat style knife Roger has made. I really, really like the looks of it.
Another nice little knife...deer antler and red linen-based Micarta handle.
This one is paper-based Micarta.

Random Good Fences
First of all, one from last fall. Taken in Terre Haute at the Old Mill Dam...
Then there is this one from 2012...best if clicked on and opened to big as it will go...
And I could not resist this one from 2008. It may have been published before...but not sure one way or the other.

A drive-by
I snapped this last Monday on the way home from the dermatologist. I wonder what the little addition on the side is for.

Tuesday's Rubbish
I am not sure this is what you think of as a rubbish post...but it is old and I like it.
This one is a drive-by in case you can't guess...I would love to explore either of these barns....
And one more drive by...it was too close to the road to get the full view. I cannot remember what the rest of the building looked like.
This is my contribution to Rubbish Tuesday....

From the archinves....
Any time I run across this photo and another one or two with almost this exact view, I love it all over again. It was one of those times when everything just seemed so clear, and where everything seemed just a tad bit eerie because of the lighting. You know, that lighting that comes with a storm that is sort of a yellowness....it always makes me wonder what is going to happen next.

Good Fences
I have posted these before...but it fits the fence meme over at the Run*A*Round Ranch, so just have to share them again. The top is here in town, just a few blocks away.
And this is from within the county, and I know the general area it is but would have to hunt for where it is at.

Before green
When we were at the bird viewing station north of Danville, Illinois, the water lilies had not come to life yet. There is something about them that I am attracted to...even in brown. But I am so ready to go north again and see what they look like now. However, we are supposed to have rain and storms today, so will be sticking close to home.

Two for Rubbish Tuesday
Today I am going back into the archives to pull a couple out for the Rubbish Tuesday meme....I don't think I have posted the above. I am not so sure about the one below...
To me they both seem a little washed out, but they both fit the meme so well that I am posting them anyway.
Now to remember to link.....

First dragonfly of the season
This is cropped....it is the first time I have ever seen this type of dragonfly land on anything. I managed to snap just the one photo before it took off.
