First dragonfly of the season

This is cropped....it is the first time I have ever seen this type of dragonfly land on anything.  I managed to snap just the one photo before it took off.

WOW, I have never seen one like this! He has a much fatter and fuzzier body than usual. Fabulous shot!!!

Great shot! That type never seem to land. I was amazed when I got a shot of one sitting this year, too. Maybe it was mating time for them or something.
