Touch of gold

 I love the golden hues of some leaves...such as this from the cottonwood tree next door.

Chartreuse wth a hint of red....

 

The color reminds me of fishing lure colors...the yellow green we call chartreuse.  

A sign of the times...

We were at the swamp area for a few minutes today...it is always the first place I notice leaves turning.  A few of the trees were beginning to turn, but for some reason I can never get a good photo of them.

A bit of gold...

I had a hard time getting good pics of these leaves...it was mid day and the lighting just was not right...

They just do not have the glow that they had in real life.

 I still think they are beautiful....

Beauty

We had rain yesterday...almost all day long.  A lot of the pretty leaves around the neighborhood have dropped.  The green are still hanging on so hopefully we will get to see more of this color.

Brilliant color....

Did you ever seen anything more beautiful.  I bet I could photograph fall color forever and not tire of it.

Fall beauty

It has begun...well, two things have begun.  The changing of the colors and me photographing it!  It is just impossible to pass by the colors of autumn without shooting a few shots.

The color red...

Any chance I have had to take close-ups of leaves they are always so beaten up I never show them.
I am going ahead with these...with rain coming in tonight, they may be the last I photograph this year.

A spark of hope

I took this, just to take a photo of the leaves still hanging on. But when I downloaded it to the computer, I noticed the bud just waiting for a warm spring day to burst into life.
