Barn Collective once again
I was fretting trying to find photos last night that I had not posted...I totally forgot about this day in April of last year.
We were at Arthur, Illinois and decided to take a little drive on west of the town. We had traveled around the country east of the town but the west was new to us.
It was a gray misty, day and I have fiddled with most, if not all of these photos. Some a little bit and others a bit more.
I hope you have enjoyed a few views from that day. If nothing happens there will be more next week.
Thanks to Tom for hosting The Barn Collective.

A gift from the archives
Had to go back to 2011 to find a photo from Jan 27....I was looking at all the ending dates of January to find a photo that was presentable and one that I had not posted before.

Thought I would try making my header shot into a reflective view....thanks to Tom's tutorial I was able to do it. I used Fotojet to do it online.

Treasures....
I have been been trying all day to think of something to use for Tuesday's Treasures. Finally got settled back down with my photos and came across our last trip to Shipshewana...
I would not have minded having any one of these.

Back in time
Having to dig through the archives to find something to post. This one is from 2008--a hummingbird moth at the Bee's Balm.

One barn, two views...
I only have this single barn for the Barn Collective...well, maybe I should say two photos with the same two barns. But I totally focus on the one....

Farm in Illinois...
I have no idea what these symbols mean...they are on farm buildings/barns over in Illinois. Not too far from here if I am not mistaken. These photos are from 2009. You think the above are a bit odd...they remind me of quilt barns but are not any pattern that I have ever seen.
then there is this...it strikes me funny every time I see it.

Seen today
I pulled up to a stop sign and saw this sitting across the road. I snapped a couple quick shots of it. I sure would be happy if it were mine!
From the Land of Lincoln...
We have run across this home a couple times in our rambling...I know it is north and east of Paris, Illinois...but I am not sure just where. I want to encourage you to click and expand the view and look at all the details!

Tuesday's Treasures
This may strike some as odd, but oh, how the sky can be a treasure.
I get so excited when I see the sky in all its beauty.
Who can find a finer view than these?
I really don't know which I prefer--color or B&W. Most times with clouds, I would just as soon have B&W, but know others have different views.
I am just grabbing a few from here and there...
Just for curiosity's sake, I will post a couple pics both in color and in B&W, just to let you see which you like best.
And keep in mind, that with B&W there are the color filters to add which will sometimes totally change the look.
I hope you have enjoyed this little sky show...I am linking to Tom's Tuesday's Treasures with this post.

Rainbows and barns...
I have probably posted all of these at some time or other...or ones from the same shoots. I was kind of looking for something to post. Not even thinking about the Barn Collective, but then there were the rainbows and each one seemed to include a barn.
If I am not bad mistaken, these first three were the same rainbow, just with a different view included.
You may have to give a closer look but a barn is in each of the above.
Now this one and the ones following are at the same farm in Parke County, Indiana.
It was an awesome double rainbow.

Junco
I almost started feeding the birds again...and if we get the ice we are supposed to get I will probably suffer guilty pangs for not buying more to feed them with.

Bringing back autumn....
I thought I would share a couple more of the few photos I took this past autumn.
Do you call the season fall or do you call it autumn? I like the word autumn better, but I tend to call it fall.

all the pretty girls....
When we leave the strip pits, we pass this farm. They have a small herd of cattle. I bet they are the most photographed cows in Edgar County, Illinois.
I pause and take photos every time I pass when they are near the fence.
I think they are well cared for...they never have any fear of us.
I hope you enjoyed these pretty ladies...

Barn offerings from the past week....
We took a short little drive the other day...in Illinois. The farm fields are bigger and the barns farther apart in this area. I stopped in the middle of the highway to take a photo of this barn. I have always wanted one, so took advantage of no one being behind me or coming towards me.
I surely have taken a photo of this one but I do not remember it. Whether I have or not, I have been past it several times.
This is the same barn as the one before it...we just drove on and I got this better view.
And how about a couple barns in the distance....in B&W?
I will be linking to Tom's The Barn Collective....I hope to visit everyone in the next day or two.

On an Illinois farm...
This boat sits over on a farm just over in Illinois a few miles. I have no idea if it is still in use...cannot remember how far back I first noticed it. It always brings a smile to see it.
Question...is it technically a boat?

We went for a short drive today...I was looking for a barn. Or rather where a barn used to be. It was torn down the last time I went by...but I didn't find the spot...but did run across this place which I have photographed before but it has been a long time.
I was about to pull away when something caught my eye....
I saw what it was and quickly zoomed in...I think it was a bit cold for it today and it was sitting there to absorb some sunshine.
It was 6ºF along about 7:30 this morn, then a couple hours later it was 3ºF....yep, you read that right. It went down a bit more before it started getting warmer. We saw this dove and it was not long before I looked at the thermometer on the car and it was all of 11ºF.

Llamas
I had forgot all about this farm that has these llamas. I have passed it and even photographed them before. It has been so far back I don't remember if it is the same llamas or not.
We never did see what they were so intent on...I told Roger I bet someone was coming to feed them or see them.
Though I don't have a close-up, I think llamas have the most beautiful eyes.
