Friday's fences

I almost forgot about Friday's Fences...I had scheduled posts for the past few days because Lorelei was here.  She went home today...so I do have time to play...so have been scrounging to find pics for the meme.  It wasn't that I didn't have any...just deciding for sure which ones to post...but finally settle on three.
This first one is a cropped portion of a photo.  I just thought it looked better this way.
This second one is better if clicked to enlarge.
Not sure this qualifies as a fence, but am sticking it in anyway.

They are all three appealing to me simply because of the sunshine and nice weather depicted in each one.

Different season, different year

This was taken way back in September of 2008!  Wouldn't you like to be able to step into that season for just a little while!  It was a drive-by--as you can see in the bottom right-hand corner.

Ford 601 Yorkmaster

We came across this tractor a drive. According to a couple different websites, the 601 was made from 1957 through 1962.

Barn Charm again!

For Barn Charm, I am entering several views of one barn.   Poor old barn that it is.  Everything is growing up around it.
It almost looks as if the vines growing on it and the trees surrounding it might be holding it all together.
There was a 'No Trespassing' sign so I did not venture any closer...but I sure wanted to.
So, there you have my entry for Barn Charm...

Front porch in Vermilion, Illinois

We saw this on a drive...we have been through this little place called Vermilion, in Illinois.  Notice those windows go all the way to the floor!

It's a Mother and Child reunion....

We passed this baby today...I think it had been born today. We sat and watched it a while. It was first laying in hay...so little. I sat and laughed...had been an age since I had sat and watched a calf butt it's mama to get her to give down her milk. Just pure joy.

A little bit of gold....

t
This is from last fall...I have had it ready to post for months and just never got around to it.

For Friday's Fences

I am using photos from 2010 for Friday's Fences...they are from Indiana...south and east of us.  But just where, I cannot say.  They do all have fences in them...but not saying they are pretty fences.
I like the looks of this place..it has the feel of home
And it had these cuties beside it.  Then there was this one...from the looks of it it was a drive-by shot.
There you have my entry for Friday's Fences.  One of these days I will get out and get some new photos.

My favorite bird

There were a couple North Carolina wrens that visited my feeders often for a few days.  I haven't seen them for a while now.  I don't know if I am just not watching closely enough, or if they have found some other diner.

A Tennessee barn

I have several barns that never seem to make it to Barn Charm.  I am going to post a few along through the coming weeks.  This was a drive by....from a twisting, winding road in Tennessee.

Entering Blogland again....

This has been a harsh winter for us...you won't believe how our holidays ended.  We all ended up sick the weekend after the the 1st, Lorelei's mom in the hospital unrelated to flu.  More about this will be at Pics & Pieces later, but for now just want to get on with it and enter Barn Charm once again.
This barn was seen somewhere south of Indianapolis on our way home from Tennessee this fall.  I like the vivid colors used in the quilt square.
And the one above and the one below were taken south of Indianapolis...maybe even a little west.
All three are drive-by shots.  All three taken as we headed west in the evening.  So, not the greatest way to take shots, but could not resist trying.

Feathered visitor....

I think this is a house finch...someone told me once how to tell the difference between them and the purple finch, but I don't remember who for sure.  I think it might have been Mary.  If I am wrong, feel free to correct me.

Daughter's editing....

This is one of my pics that my older daughter played with while being home.  I have no idea what all she done but I really, really like the effects...
