Trying to decide

I took this a few weeks ago and have never decided if I thought it blog-worthy or not.  It seems so cluttered, but then it seems sort of natural.  And I like the way it is looking at me.  This photo has been slightly cropped.

EDited to add....does the leg look funny to you guys?  I did not notice this until I posted it.  It looks like a 'ghost' leg that belongs to another bird.  I went back and looked.  In reality, it is the leg on the side that is towards the camera.  The feeder between the the camera and woodpecker has 'post' to stick fruit on.

Baby Blue....

I went for years, and seldom got a chance to get a good photo of a damselfly, and then had a day that made up for all the others.   This one, too, was taken on July 29th.

Pretty on pink

Not only is pink pretty to wear, it is pretty as a background.  This is a cropped portion of a pic taken yesterday morn in my backyard.

Baby Blues...

On our way to Goose pond at the end of last month, we stopped at this one river and got out and walked around a little.  There were these damselflies....and there was a lot of them.  I think this is my favorite pic I took of them.

It's time for Good Fences

We ran across these fence posts a few weeks back...seemed like no matter how I tried, the pictures were just sort of blah.  But still I find them interesting so am going to show one.

Another that is not so great, but at least I have the excuse of it is a drive-by.  I took it for the sunflower, but then noticed the fence and thought it was a good excuse to put it here.

From the end of July...the birds really, really enjoyed the sunflowers.

Monarch

I forget where I was at when I got to photograph this monarch.  And that was just a week or two ago!

Name this insect!

I have not tried to identify it yet myself and I took this over a week ago.  I don't think I have ever seen a bug more beautiful than this one. 

Notice that it's feet seem to be edged with gold...that is how it actually looked.
