Posting a bit early

Tomorrow Rubbish Tuesday meme opens...so am posting early.  Mainly because if I don't do it while thinking about it, I am apt to forget.  I forget what town we were passing through yesterday when I just caught this glimpse of this truck.  If we had not been running late already due to a train blocking the road and a detour, I would have been tempted to have Roger turn around to go back for a good shot.
And this is from a the end of August...it is in an area we have drove through several times, but I don't remember ever seeing this old house.  I love the way the stone is used.  This is through the windshield...but we were stopped.   I don't know why I  did not get out and take the pictures.

Great "takes" . . . One can find a bunch of character in the old and recycled!

Two great shots and that reminds me that I have some neat shots for Rubbish Tuesday. I really don't like to call these old faded beauties 'rubbish'.

Dogs can be so funny and peculiar. I chuckled about the story about Otto and getting in the work truck.
We had a dog once when the kids were little and we were having trouble with our drain field so we called someone out. It was all ishy and mushy--anyway Spot the dog jumped in the workers truck and ate their lunches. They laughed about it so I fed them. MB

The roof is a pretty color, but oh my, it is sagging! Do people live there? Any signs of life? Love the truck with the old rusted visor and front grille.

I say, better early than late. Love that old truck. Lots of good rust and variations of color. I also like the stone on this old house with the swayback roof. Both are perfect for Rubbish! Thanks for joining in!

That old truck is AMAZING!

I think both the truck and the house could use some TLC, but both definitely have 'character'. I, too, like the stonework in the porch of the house.

They are both great shots. I the one through the windshield is fine. The house has such an interesting construction of varied materials.

A gorgeous old truck. Love the grills from way back then. That's a charming old home too. I don't get out of the car often even when it's possible. Then I complain when the traffic is to thick to do so.

Great old truck, and old house! That green tiling on the sides of the house was on the house my great aunts and great grandmother lived in...though there's I think was brown.

Neat old truck and that house is so cool. For some reason it reminds me of a house that one of my Aunts lived in. I think it was that same color so that's probably what reminded me of it.

That reminds me of a truck my Dad had many years ago. And what a gorgeous old cottage even though it is a bit tumbledown.

Golly, that's an old truck! How cool that it's still on the road. I love to see rock porch rails like that house. They look like they will outlast the house.

both great! You sure get better photos through your windshield they I do. Mine are always out of focus or hazy.
