Iris

My irises like this have been gone for at least a week, maybe two.  They got so beat up by the hard rains that I did not get a decent photo this year.  This is one of my favorites.   Sometimes, depending on how the light hits it, it looks almost black.  Other times, you can see the purple colors.

Oh my, what a pretty Iris. Just wanted to tell you that the purple color on the top part of the Iris is my favorite color. : ) So mysterious and lovely.

That's a beauty. I used to have an Iris in that color.I used to have so many flowers, when my husband was around to tend the gardens.Now I have memories.

Totally beautiful Iris. I like the dark purple best although there are many many colors---but I still like the dark purple best. Your is beautiful.
