I have actually never seen a farm structure like this!
It is very tall and towering!

that is the tallest barn I have ever seen.
I grew up in Michigan City. There is a grain elevator (if that is what it is) just like this one along the railroad tracks that run from Michigan through to Illinois. I wonder how long ago they were functional.

There was a grain elevator very similar to this in the town near where I grew up. I could just barely see it in the distance on a clear day from my upstairs bedroom window when I was a little girl. At Christmastime there was a huge star that they placed on top that could be seen for miles. Your photo conjured up some sweet memories!
Either place, it is neat to see.
Exactly as they were pictured in my school books. It has a kind of battered beauty that I like.
A fine picture of this classic looking elevator.
That sure is a neat looking old grain elevator.
