When we were out yesterday evening, I happened to look down the way, and there on the power line poles this is what I saw. I know there is a term for this type of power line...it is not the ones you see in the neighborhood, but for the life of me I cannot think what they are called.
Just have to show you a few different views.
I also zoomed in on the next poles on down the way and they had birds sitting on the cross piece, too. Just not as many. But it was so far I it would have been worthless photos.
And these are not too fabulous, but at least you can make out they are birds. I had thought I would count them but haven't taken the time to attempt it.

What fabulous designs! I have never seen this kind of power contraption. Could it be a transformer? Most of the birds are facing the same direction, too. They like to do that.
Good shots of the power lines and birds. It is really amazing that the birds are all facing in the same direction!
When you do count them I guarantee that there'll be more than you would guess - there always have been when I've done that sort of thing. I rather like the stark silhouettes you've achieved here.
