Not great pics, etc...but have to show anyway....

These are from today...

I only tried a few times to capture them in flight..

The above is a cropped version of the pic...notice the pair of Snow Geese at the lower left .

I know this pic is a mess, but it gives the feel of watching them.  There was a lot of White-fronted geese, too.

If that is not enough, watch this.  It is an even bigger mess....and turn your volume down.  There is constant beeping is because I left the keys in the car but had the door open.

This below is really making me wish I had a better way of recording things like this.

I love the pictures, but was there supposed to be a video? If so, I didn't see it.

Thank you for not thinking pictures have to be perfect to share them. You're sharing your experiences with us, which is the important thing.

I'm glad you did decide to show us, they capture the movement and chaos perfectly well.

WOW, there's a ton of them. There must have been some good food in that field. I don't know if I missed something or not but I didn't see a video.

Hello,

What a great sighting of the geese, I love hearing them too. I think your photos are great. Happy weekend to you!

That is a wonderful concentration of geese. I find myself imagining the sound too as that would certainly be part of the whole experience. I wish I had been there with you.

You are too hard on yourself, Rose, I think you caught them the way they're supposed to be caught when landing in a field! I love snow geese but haven't had an opportunity yet to photograph them here in Maine or in Pennsylvania. I do remember seeing them when I lived in Canada many moons ago.

There is so much commotion when they all fly in. You just have to wildly shut photos and hope you get something They look like a lot of fun to see. I can hear the noise of them through your photos.

Wow, I love seeing all these birds. We get lots of Canada geese out here. The snow geese are harder to find.
