I love poppies and do not have one decent photo of them.  So I offer this one.

Beautiful red poppy! I have never seen them so close in person but I did pass by a giant field of orange ones on a drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco.

I love poppies as well. For some reason the red ones are hardest to get good shots of but that one is giving you a nice pose.
