The road through the swamp

The swamp area is on both sides of the road....take over two steps to either side and you are in the swamp.  This is one of my favorite places to go.  It is so quiet since we are down in a valley.   About the only thing we hear are nature sounds.

Really, an actual swamp? I can't imagine the diversity of wildlife and flowers. Wish I lived close to one. But I guess you cannot walk thru it.

I complained so many times in Indiana that it was never quiet even at 3 AM. Here on the mountain when I take the dogs out after all have gone to bed it is totally ... silent. The frogs in the creek even sleep. The sky is so big and we are so high that I have never seen the stars look to big and bright.

Hello

It does look like a peaceful place for a ride, maybe some birding from the car. Take care and stay safe! Enjoy your day, have a great weekend.

I would love to be there with you Rose. It looks (and sounds) so peaceful and calm, the sort of place where you go home afterwards feeling contented and happy. Mxx

land that has no value to farmers or developers can harbor wonderful plants and animals

I like the way the trees arch over the road giving it a tunnel effect. Nice one point perspective shot.
