What this photo needs...

What this photo needs is either an eagle, hawk or big old buzzard sitting in the tree. I think then it would feel complete for me.

Perhaps you will capture one of those birds in the tree at some future date, but the tree alone has a stark beauty.

Even without feathered friend the tree gives rise to somber thoughts on aging. Pretty powerful image.

Even without a bird it's a stark, rugged looking old tree. Looks good to me.

Yep, I think it needs a big 'ol Bald Eagle but it is ok by itself too. Let's let our imaginations work.

It's an interesting tree as it is and you've photographed it well. However, I think a big bird perched on one of those branches would really look good. Perhaps a Photoshop project....
