I have no idea how old this place is....but it is miles from anywhere. People just had to be self sufficient back then.

I wonder how far they had to bring the windows....just imagine traveling an old rough road, maybe with a horse and wagon...and trying to keep a window from getting broke.
For some reason I think these fit B&W better than color. I hope you enjoy them...

It does make a remarkable subject for photos. You wonder where they got water or if they dug a well. Farmers maybe but it seems to be so isolated. and the only building left standing.
I have enjoyed them. And I wonder if they even had glass windows! I would love to know the story behind it.
That looks good in black and white, but oh it all looks so far from everywhere. It was a different time back then.

Yes, I agree, B&W is perfect for these. This kind of makes me think of Little House on the Prairie.

Enjoy them very much! Makes me wonder about who used to live there and what their lives were like.
I agree about the black and white being best, but the color shot is beautiful because it shows how very small that hold house is and the environment that surrounds it. I can imagine how difficult life was for the family that lived there. the close up shots are awesome...now I wonder where the out house was, up in the trees?
Yes..B & W suits the scene much better than color. Seeing that house brings the same questions to mind as our little cemetery by the railroad tracks in Osceola. Who lived there? WHEN did they live there. What was their life like? Very hard I think.
