For a few years, the Turkey Vultures roosted right down town on this tower. Which is beside the Police Station/ Fire Station/ City Hall. I don't know what was done, but they no longer roost there.
There would be well over a hundred. I wish I had tried to count them at least once but I never took the time. BTW, neither of these photos show how many were normally there at night.

I imagine seeing all of those guys next to the police station would give bad guys the desire to leave town.... Great shot.
That's intriguing that they are no longer there. I think that would make me sad if I saw them there all the time.
Wow, that would be a bit creepy seeing all of them covering that tower.

now I want to know how they made them move on... never seen that many in one place... I bet that was a lot of poopin going on below... they are a lot bigger than pigeons and I know what they do... love the photos..
It’s an interesting history of those birds. I guess we will never know why that roost somewhere else .

These pictures already show a lot of birds. I can imagine that they left behind a significant amount of droppings.
That is kind of creepy, like something out of a horror movie!

I don't think that I have ever seen so many turkey vultures in one place. This is phenomenal! Wonderful silhouettes.
It's a little bit spooky isn't it.
