I think the light is really the key to this gorgeousness!

I'd say a ton of serenity with this photo. A real 'feel good' image. Peaceful.

Fantastic photos. Such a beautiful subject and the blurred background keeps you from being distracted from it.

Looking at doves, makes me feel so good and hearing them cooing is pure joy. we saw 3 like this one on our walk today, the first we have seen in a long time.. they were walking in the grass, and hard to see. we have heard them cooing but not seen them. the resident hawks have done away with birds and squirrels.

Excellent close-ups of this pretty dove. I like how your focus is right on the capture of colors very well.

The dove pictures are so lovely. It is a bird of peace, and just left a blog friend's post before this talking about peace. This was perfect timing, Rose. That first picture is just right.

Have a happy week.

This is beautiful! A very peaceful image. I have a pair of mourning doves that frequent my platform bird feeder. They are always together.

Wonderful light on these sweet photos.

They are gorgeous birds, particularly in that light. We have the similar Collared Dove here, which started to appear in the 1950s, much to the delight of many. Unfortunately they have now become so numerous that it's difficult to appreciate them fully any more - especially when they use your windows, paths and cars as their toilet!

Not hard to see why they are universally regarded as symbols of peace and love.
