Timeless scene. I've done plenty of that sort of work, but with more horse-power and less horse.

that takes me back to childhood here in the Bonny Land, when I used to help with the bailing in grandad's fields. A very old tractor, though, no horses. otherwise, pretty much the same! YAM xx (Who thinks these are Mennonite, not Amish - have I got that right?)
way back in the day, this was hard work.. they were lucky to have a tractor.

Terry and I were just talking about how hard we worked before all the conveniences were invented. From perked coffee on the stove, rotor lawn mowers and tillers without gas engines and more. No Alexa for us.

That's a far cry from the air-conditioned cabs they sit in now a days.
That is hard work. With the photo being in black and white and the equipment they are using it looks like a vintage photo
Ah, the old-fashioned way. I passed some Amish a couple of years ago who had a gasoline powered baler mounted on the edge of the horse drawn wagon. As the bales came out, they were still manually stacked. This baler looks like one my grandfather used in the 1950s, but his was tractor pulled. Two or three of us stood on the wagon and pulled and stacked the bales.
A spectacular image. It is such a timeless scene.
