From a country drive continued....

I thought it was really nice that these were planted by the electric pole...they were quite a distance from the house.

Will include the close up view of one.

I love the irises and the weathered wood. :)

Beautiful. It would be nice to have them around all the electric poles.

That wood behind the iris makes a super backdrop adding texture & contrast! Very pretty.

those gorgeous colors Rose! My mom and my Aunt would love those flowers because they are crazy about purple! Thanks for sharing these beauties!

Pretty. I have a spot near the road where there is not only a telephone pole but a speed limit sign and I hate mowing around the two of them. I should plant some flowers around them and then I won't have to.

It's nice to see them planted in the wild setting! The close-up reveals beautiful color and clarity!

We see masses of daffodils by the roadside, but I don't think I've ever seen irises growing like this. Very attractive.

Purple Iris are a particular favorite of mine. Ours do not bloom until late May usually.

These are beautiful flowers by the pole. A nice place to grow them.

Oh, these are beautiful. I'm so fond of irises -- it was the name of my aunt and I always think of her when I see them.

Those Irises dress up a simple pole.

Delightful purple posies and the regal looking collie photos share a striking characteristic in common. Both capture texture so dramatically that I want to touch.

Beautiful purple iris blooms. I like it when they look natural like this instead of in a formal garden.

Very pretty. I like to see flowers by a pole or fence post for some reason.

Fantastic photos, love the fencepost one particularly.

These iris are gorgeous. I always like it when you see flowers just planted randomly somewhere. The color is lovely. Mine have not bloomed yet. I hope soon.

Without the pole, the irises wouldn't look so beautiful. And, without the irises, the pole would be just a pole. I love the picture.

I love these. There was a clump planted by the electric pole at the lab I go to. It was an unexpected surprise.
